Dr. Richard Geise is a professional medical physicist with over thirty-five years of experience. He received Masters degrees in Physics and Radiological Sciences from the University of Wisconsin and a Ph.D. in Biophysical Sciences from the University of Minnesota. He is certified in Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology and of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine.

Dr. Geise has been a consultant for over a hundred medical facilities, physicians and medical industries. Although experienced in all areas of medical physics, his current activities are in the areas of medical imaging physics, radiation safety and dosimetry.

Dr. Geise is a Medical Imaging Physicist and Radiation Safety Officer at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He also holds the position of Affiliate Professor in Radiology at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Geise has been active in several professional societies, serving on or chairing many committees, commissions and task groups. He has served several times on the Council of the American College of Radiology and is currently chair of the Medical Physics Committee on Guidelines and Standards of the American College of Radiology.
